Here is some good news for apple fans out there- NCell has launched Nano SIM in Nepal. Apple iPhone and iPad users will now be able to get nano SIM for their iPhone 5 and iPad mini. New customers can opt for Nano SIM or existing customers using prepaid or postpaid plan can get a nano SIM for RS 99. NCell has already been providing micro SIM for use in various phone models.

What is Nano SIM?
Nano SIM was introduced in early 2012. It measures 12.3 × 8.8 × 0.67 mm and reduces the previous format to the contact area while maintaining the existing contact arrangements.A small rim of isolating material is left around the contact area to avoid short circuits with the socket. The 0.7 mm thickness of the nano-SIM is about 15 percent less than its predecessor.

iPhone 5 can be bought for about Rs 70,000 to Rs 1,00,000 in the local market.
